The Minister of Environment, Erik Solheim, will tour the Sellafield complex in Cumbria and will receive information on operations at the nuclear fuel reprocessing plants. We will join this tour and look forward to put on place the last details for InfoArena in Lofoten 12 th and 13 April.

IRISH CONCERNS in relation to Sellafield were voiced by Minister for the Environment Phil Hogan when he met his British counterpart Chris Huhne at the weekend.

The Sellafield plant will be part of a Europe-wide nuclear safety review following the crisis in Japan. - Very good news for us in Norway, said bishop Tor B. Jørgensen. 

At an emergency meeting in Brussels yesterday, EU energy ministers agreed to carry out examinations of Europe’s nuclear plants following the crisis in Japan.

The state has significantly increased its funding to monitor the risk posed by the British nuclear facility at Sellafield.

Det er med stor skuffelse at vi i da g leser i Dagbladet at Oljefondet har investert i Sellafield-anlegget. Samtidig som vi i Lofoten mot Sellafield har jobbet hardt og lenge for å få lagt ned deler av anlegget.
